Graphic Designer – Game Development
Game Devlopment, Parody, Project Manager Game Development, Graphic DesignerStudio: CrunchForge™ Studios
Location: Remote (but spiritually bound to the art team’s group chat)
Salary: Exposure to Unreal 5 and the raw, unfiltered screams of late-stage production.
Type: Full-time. Full-panic.
About Us:
CrunchForge™ is a fast-growing indie-AAA-we’re-not-sure-anymore game studio crafting ambitious projects powered by passion, caffeine, and whatever’s left of our graphic card budget. We believe art tells a story — and sometimes that story is “please redo it but in a more Fortnite-meets-Elden-Ring kinda way.”
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to join our chaotic spiral dynamic team and create UI assets, in-game icons, marketing visuals, and whatever else the devs “forgot to ask for six months ago but suddenly need by Tuesday.” You will be the visual glue in our disjointed creative vision. Bring Photoshop. And snacks.
What You’ll Do:
• Design icons that are visually distinct yet somehow all gray-blue and 32x32px.
• Develop UI mockups that will be reworked 14 times before someone decides to go minimalist.
• Contribute to branding, store assets, pitch decks, internal morale posters (you know the ones).
• React in real-time to vague feedback like “make it pop, but not too much pop.”
• Work with programmers who keep exporting your assets with compression settings from 1997.
• Remain calm while someone says “can you just whip something up really quick?”
Must-Haves:
• 3+ years of experience designing for games, apps, or brands run by sleep-deprived teams.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and emotional restraint.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates technical skill and at least one clearly trauma-inspired redesign.
• Ability to make beautiful things with terrible briefs.
• Comfort receiving feedback from people who begin every sentence with “I’m not a designer, but…”
Bonus Points If You:
• Know the difference between “pixel-perfect” and “good enough to ship.”
• Have experience designing for multiple platforms and for multiple sources of stress.
• Can illustrate, animate, or summon vector assets from the void.
• Once said “sure I’ll handle marketing graphics too” and lived to regret it.
What We Offer:
• A “collaborative” team environment (read: 172 active Slack threads).
• Credit on a game that may or may not escape Early Access.
• Opportunity to work on a project with stunning visuals and no pipeline.
• Regular feedback sessions, all beginning with “So… design is subjective, right?”
• Free mental health days. (Unscheduled. Usually following milestone delivery.)
